I. The Exercise
Exercise keeps the body healthy by promoting proper circulation in the body. On type of exercise activity is strength exercise. This type of exercise focuses on making muscles become stronger by using weights and other related objects.
One example of strength exercise is ab roller. The ab roller exercise works on the abdominal muscles in an intermediate level by using a pull force. As a compound mechanic type, it also targets the shoulders and other muscles in nearby areas. This activity uses a roller and an exercise mat.
II. How to do it?
Below are the steps in doing the ab roller exercise:
Step 1: Place an exercise mat on the floor. Kneel on the mat while holding the roller with both hands.
Step 2: Place the roller forward, making a position like a kneeling push up. This will then be the starting position.
Step 3: Begin by rolling the roller forward, stretching the body until having a straight position. Keep proper breathing.
Step 4: After a slight pause, slightly stretch back to the starting position by pulling the body back. Repeat the same movement until required repetitions is achieved.
III. Things to remember
While stretching the body, keep the abs tight. In an advance level, one may try to move the ab roller diagonally.
This exercise may not be advised for people with health conditions like lower back pains and hernia. Consult a doctor before doing this routine.
