dumbest list ever, a top 10 sitcom list and you dont mention Friends, Spin City, OR Two and a half Men?

It can't be a good list without some of the british sitcoms, as Fawlty towers or 'Only fools and horses', one of the best shows ever.

A dumb list. And since the list is not your own opinion, just saying top 10.

I love the Mary Tyler Moore show. It came on the scene in 1970. That was the year my son Tommy was born. He was my only son after giving birth to 4 girls. I love to hear the music from the show, it brings me warm memories. I lost my only amazing son on 9/11 flight 11.

So only Americans make sitcoms? The Office (not the half-a$$ed American version but the British original) is better than anything on this list except possibly Seinfeld, MTM and The Simpsons. Yes Minister and The Thick of It are the best political shows of all time - infinitely more insightful than West Wing (and Americans can't seem to make a political sitcom at all).

Best list on the internet. Top sitcoms are a combination of great writing, skilled acting, timing, and memorable characters. Each of these sitcoms had all of these criteria in spades.

Goodness..! this list is so dumb. Were is friends???

Seinfeld should be higher on the list. Also, where was Two and a Half Men? In twenty years, people will still be talking about Charlie Sheen but I think Married with Children will fade. Charlie spawned a complete You Tube sensation. People will be singing songs like this one & will remember, how it all started with Charlie Harper: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rb0G5soNW14

Rhoda should be on the list, but I respect the fact that this list is an intelligent one.

Im sorry I'm 18 yrs old and I even know that All in the Family is the greatest ever sit-com, it changed television forever. The acting, humor, writing, characters were brilliant and it was the first prime time show to incorporate racism, political issues, sexism, religious conflicts, and so on into the show and was still damn hilarious. It paved the way for pretty much all of its successors. TV wouldn't be as entertaining as it is today if it wasn't for All in the Family.

1. Friends

2. The big bang theory

3. The Office

4. Lost

5. How I met your mother

6. Two and a half men
