Winstrol is a term used as commercial name for the synthetic and anabolic steroid known as stanozolol. This synthetic steroid is said to be derived from testosterone hormones. Most body builders nowadays prefer this type of steroid because of its promising effects. Some of it includes increased muscle strength without having weight gain in return. Today, this type of drug is controlled by US National Regulations. Moreover, this drug is banned for use for athletes in the International Association of Athletics Federation.

This type of synthetic and anabolic drug works like any hormones. However, by nature, anabolic or anabolic- andronic steroids work like male hormones. With this, these drugs may cause an increase in protein synthesis which in return will make one gain more muscle mass. In addition, other effects of these anabolic steroids are increase growth of hairs in the body and lowering of the voice. In spite these, females still do prefer this drug for as an anabolic one, winstrol causes male characteristics in a lesser degree.

Moreover, this anabolic drug winstrol is administered in conjunction with other testosterone based steroids. As for its application, it can be in a form of shots which can be directly applied in the skin.

III. Its Benefits

Winstrol can promote one to have a change in strength as it may cause one to have an increase of it. This can be done because this drug can show a strong bonding affinity to androgen receptors in the body, specifically in the muscle tissues. In addition, it may help one increase the muscle hardness and lose weight by maintaining the muscle mass.

IV. Is it safe?

Just like any other drug, winstrol has its own side effects. Winstrol is said to have a property that it may be hepatoxic. This means that it can corrode the liver. Also, it can lead to elevated liver values. Moreover, symptoms of this drug include cramps, headache, elevated blood pressure levels, an increase in one’s LDL cholesterol content and liver damage if it is used abusively. For women, masculinising effects can be possible because it is said to stimulate one’s androgen receptors. Furthermore, it may cause acne, enlarged prostate, increased body hairs and baldness patterns.
