A low impact aerobic exercise is physical exercise of relatively low intensity and is longer in duration, this exercise program, usually improve endurance and cardiovascular health. Low impact aerobics often serve as a method unfit people to exercising. it gives the opportunity to get your cardiovascular exercise while using a lower intensity level. Instead of moving faster and immediately increasing your heart rate, low impact aerobics involve maintaining a slower pace for a sustained period. You get your workout at a lower intensity level this way.
Low impact aerobics is also recommended for people who suffer from arthritis and other health conditions. Exercises can reduce joint stiffness and pain, inflammation and symptoms of depression. Aerobics can increase overall endurance, energy levels, improve your sleeping, increase your range of motion and strengthen your muscles. Strengthening your muscles provides joint support.
Is highly recommended to pregnant women, senior citizens, physically challenged individuals and obese people. Many exercises are too painful for arthritis sufferers and others who have movement limitations. Low impact aerobics can counteract this.
Example of low impact aerobic exercise is brisk walking, its cheap because it only requires supportive and comfortable shoes, and it could also be done indoors in a treadmill if you do not wish to go outdoors.
Cycling or Bicycling is also applicable, it increases endurance on the large muscles on the legs. you can also do this indoors in a stationary bike if you do not wish to go out doors.
Swimming and water aerobics can also speed the heart rate, swimming allows you to burn more calories than you do when you go jogging because of the resistance of the water.
low impact exercise is easier on your body and can reduce injuries related to high impact routines and helps you lose the unwanted pounds. but like any other exercise maintaining a well balance diet is also needed and before starting anything you should always consult your doctor, safety is should always come first.
